Discover Andros in Greece with nice beaches, villages and life. It’s the island of shipowners from the 19th century 

Where is Andros island located in Greece ? Greek island Andros is the northernmost island of the Greek Cyclades.

Why going to Andros island ? Because its beauty is unique. I went there last year and I was absolutely marvelled by this island

  • There are many many wonderful beaches as the following but also beaches such as Plaka, Mylos, St Petros, Mikri and Megali Peza, Chrissi Ammos….etc

A stone bridge connects Hora place with the island. In the earky 13th century, the Castle was built by the Venetians but the castle was destroyed in World War II but its ruins are saved till today.
The Castle of Faneromeni or Pano Castle is up to northern bay of Korthi (600 metres of altitude). It was the bigger fortified settlement of Andros in the past.


How to get to Andros island ?  From the Greek mainland ferries and hydrofoil services run daily from Rafina and Lavrio near Athens. Andros is also connected by ferry to other islands, such as Mykonos (2h15) which has an international.

Which are the good hotels in Andros Greek Island ? The best hotel in Andros Greece is Mikra Anglia (book here if you want) (5 stars). The hotel is in the main town of Andros island near to everything (bars, shops, etc). My nephew went there in 2011 and said that it is an amazing hotel with perfect service and restaurant.
