Visit Gavdos, the southernmost greek island for its beauty and calm. It is an heavenly small island in the south of Creta that can help you to find yourself again, far away from stress of urban life.

Where to find a place in Europe where you can live Earthly paradise for a while ? Go to the small island of Greece Gavdos in Lybian sea with its beautiful beaches, landscapes without many trees (rocks colour of sand and dunes) and villages. Gavdos land is semi rocky and the climate is subtropical with very few rains and there are only a few inhabitants during the year. Visit and discover Greece in Gavdos where life is very simple enriched by deep traditionnal greek life

How to go to Gavdos ? Take a ferrry boat from Paleochora and Chora Sfakion, south of Creta and we will arrive at Karave port in Gavdos island in little time (48 kms from Creta)

Where to stay in Gavdos ?  There are no hotels but some apartment for rent  (Gavdos princess apartments for instance) in every village of Gavdos. Every village from May to October have tavernas.

See sightings in Gavdos greek island ? Actually, you will go there to relax all day long on the beached naked or not, but you can hike and visit

  • the highest point of the island, Faros, recently rebuilt as a kind of non-functioning lighthouse museum. The original lighthouse was the second highest in the world (400m at its base)
  • the southernmost point in Europe at Cap Tripiti means. You can just make out the « giant chair » on top of the cape.
